Vince Stikman Warren in this video was the very first time I ever heard of and then saw and heard a Chapman Stick. That was a year ago. I literally joined this site one year ago today!
I'm still blown away. I'm forever in his debt! |

The song was "Without a Word". Rather a nice surprise starting my car up in the morning before work and the radio starts playing a song with a Stick in it. Steve, I had no idea at all what you were talking about. It finally occurred to dense me that String Planet is the name of the band. ... |

In 10 days, it will be one full year since I got my first Stick. When I first heard that there was a tapping guitar that didn't need a pick, I started researching. The Stick and the Megatar were the two instruments that were recommended to me. Warr was the third. A guy I knew on Reddit that had play... |

Scott, I agree with Rob--easier to hear you this second time. Video was well done. I also agree that this is just about half a neuron away from just being an original. And to JRJ's points: I hear Bob Dylan prefers Hendrix's version of All Along the Watchtower to his own, and that's the version he pl... |

I knew right from the title whose awesome post this would be! A worthy attempt but doomed from the start: you have one hand tied behind your back! I'm just gonna point out that you could use both hands and typeright that mf'er down pretty quickly, if you wanted. I don't know if that's cheating, but ... |

Bruce, that was amazing! I loved that jam--very danceable, as Rodrigo said (and I can't dance either!) I see what you mean about needing 3 hands to keep the popping going. This could have been about 32 minutes longer (well, maybe a couple of minutes at least). Right when we switched keys at the end,... |

Gene is a man of many talents and is a genuine Nice Guy. The Stick community and the planet Earth are both lucky to have him as a member!
Gene'd get my vote--although I don't know his positions on nanotechnology or asteroid mining, but he also has good taste in music, so that's probably enough! |

Like Kevin said, you're pushing the envelope, Rodrigo! Each time you push, you've expanded your range of possibilities and your freedom of expression. Plus, Rodrigo, you're starting a reputation for yourself as the guy who can "fill in for anybody on anything." A man's gotta eat, too! Exce... |
