Greetings Powagoat, Nice to see more n00bs here, since I just ordered my first Stick myself (12 str grand, MP, light guage). I've been eying this awesome instrument for decades but never really had the time or the money to pick it up. After placing my order the Stick Fever hit me so hard I had no id...

Ah, it IS! Thanks! I thought it was a Warr since it was on the warrzone.com front page. Yes, I've been eying the Beartrax for a while. Like this excellent instrument http://www.youtube.com/user/sprugian#p/u/11/7rzFA_UiFWo

Woah! Does that mean it is a 6+6 with mirrored fretless bass side in 5ths tuning? A custom build, I guess? (since it's not mentioned at the SE site)

Hi Per, Go nuts! Thank you for the informative post, Greg. I can't wait to start fiddling around the fretboard! Stick will be the fifth instrument I'm taking up and I already know music theory. Whatever instrument I play I'm "seeing" the notes, intervals and harmonic relationships and thi...

I use nothing right now but within a month I will hopefully use Matched Reciprocal 6+6. This tuning seems best for the way I intend to play when my (first) Stick arrives. I may sometimes use right hands thumb to add high strings on the bass side and as I'm imagining the fretboard it seems MR is good...

But only for the highest strings on both sides, which are the ones you seem to get at with a bow. I use a cello bow with a Stratocaster and the only string the bow can reach there is the low...
