How far is it from the edge of the Railboard's fingerboard to the "keel" on the back? I have always thought that the "keel" would be wonderful for dealing with my spasticity, but I just realized that it would actually be terrible if my 2.5 inch thumbs are forced into an awkward p... |

What I have heard on the subject deals particularly with the frets: the consistency of their heights and crowns. I really do not know any more to say, so this is probably the most concise thing I have written in months. |

Warwick's new light weight amp LWA1000 would be a perfect amp head for a stick with its twin preamps, both with individual compressor. Just if you don't need two DI sends. How old is your Princeton? Depending on its age, and therefore its output options, you might want to spend a bit more and get yourself an attenuator (I have a Rivera RockCrusher [not the "Recording" version]). A cranked tube amp is the original distortion. Alternatively, you could just get... |

Still enjoying myself! I am glad to hear, but do give some thought to your buying power and financial priorities. Hearing your low notes properly will help your arranging and composing, if not also your education. Of course, I am a massive geek who will engage in deeply technical discussion at the ... |

I've bought a new amp! It is an old Dean Markley RM-80-SB head with an Ashdown 2x10 cab. It also came with a second 2x10 cab for free which doesn't work, but the speakers look fine and I bet I can get it working somehow... It was dead cheap and sounds amazing. How are you getting on with this rig n... |

I think I understand what you mean, Per. I will review my Chapman Stick playlist tonight and pay particular attention to low notes played on Grand Sticks. |

I really don't like when a long scale Stick sounds "clunky" in a way that only too long and too sloppy strings can. Is that more the sound of the string being played, or a characteristic of the note attack through the amp? Have you found that some pickups do not sound that way? I've been ... |
