When I saw Steve A. in 2007 at the Montréal jazz festival I had the same reaction...where did I see this instrument before...and it was around '74 or '75 on a tv show. I guess it was Emmett...cannot remember if it was him or not...but I remembered really well the stick. And I finally got mine in 201... |

I've never seen a maple one...and there is no pic. Is the Stick on the cover of Steve Adelson's "Stickology" book, as well as on the cover of his newest CD, a maple? Looks like it to me. I guess you're right on his newest CD but on Stickology...hum...I'm not sure...look at this page - htt... |

ProfQ, Here are two photos of my padauk manufactured pre 2010. I believe the red color loses intensity and darkens with age. Cheers, Simon For a reason I can't explain, I prefer dark wood color. Well done Dave. Clearly best served HOT! I have just designed and made my own playing stand (see photo attached). I did this because I have bi-focal glasses (poor close-up vision) and no matter how I adjusted the shoulder strap, I could not focus on the lowest 6 or so frets. With a stand, I can mov... |

Thanks Kataway, both for the music and the dedication. I know that people die every day but as a professional pilot the thought of an airliner being shot down just sickens me, much worse than if it were a simple accident.
