Not to hijack the thread but as I'm still working on my songbook, I'm wondering how many of you folks read standard notation? Just curious... I hate to sound so ignorant but what do you mean by standard notation? I read piano, guitar, and StaffTab(TM). I actually don't read tab notation very well. ...

On top of that, there's three people within a 20-mile radius of my house offering Stick lessons should I need to go beyond books and CD's.

I just got this and it is really nice. I recommend it highly. After a couple of listens I like the tune "Experience" the best. I'm sure that will change over time as is typical of good CDs.

I was missing it too but it uses a lot of screen space and now that you have mentioned that "View new posts" link I think that is probably a good compromise. I go back and forth with the new format. Overall, I think it's an improvement. But, with any change there's are a time of adjustment...

My thinking has always been that it's better to use the Baritone Melody version so that you can practice playing the lowest melody string which is next to the lowest bass string, but I just wanted to ask if any of you have any different ideas. I have both books and I only use the Baritone Melody on...

Very cool project and band. Congratulations.

You get a great bass groove on the Stick, what tuning do you use?

Thanks,

Ah, yes, good old #2. I really worked hard on this one and could play it at very fast tempo. I think it really helped me get started on feeling what it's like to have each hand doing different rhythmic things. I recommend it highly.

Only a fool would pay money for something that can be gained from a music theory book from the library and by looking at the stick and using some common fucking sense. But why think when you can be led by the hand, eh? tritone I make my living as a teacher of a body of knowledge that is hard and co...
