| Very interesting topic! I think tuning helps define your approach but if you tune a guitar traditionally, to an open G chord or some other exotic tuning it's still a guitar. | What's your motivation for wanting to do this, if I may ask? Maybe there's another idea... My main motivation is to have an increased melody range.
