Hi Ezra,
On my 36" Grand I tune my mid guage strings at MR but one half-step up. For me, deciding on tuning is all about balancing the three aspects string tension, string thickness, and resonation between the strings and the wood in the Stick. |

MR. Because when I got my first Stick this tuning seemed to provide access to most of the notes I want to use for free improvisation, without the hands getting in the way of each other. I tune as recommended by SE but in case I have to use a .009 guitar set on the melody side I tune the whole instru... |

Does anyone know if a Railboard can be sent internationally in a softcase inside the usual stuffed paper box? Any experiences with that? SE's policy? Recommendations?
I want to buy a 12-str Railboard but I already have a hardcase here in Sweden. And I would need a gigbag. |

Leading online video conference courses where I teach Swedish to corporate professionals from abroad. I also write music for media, but that doesn't bring in as much as the teaching. Finally, I play SG-12 concerts in churches during the three summer months. |

Hoping for the summer -22 for the scene to open up here in Sweden (I mainly get booked to play SG-12 in churches during their... |

My 10-String is made of Wenge, and it took quite a long time (about one year!) to sound as aspected. The first months were frustrating, I was not able to make it "sing". Then I found a comment from Greg Howard about Wenge here in this forum, where he was talking about this special behavio... |

I like the dark Wenge SG-12 I like it too, especially the looks of Wenge. But my Bamboo sounds better for some reason. To me, the Bamboo feels more alive, like if the material gives more sympathetical resonance (like a piano or a harp). The output from the pickup house is higher with the Bamboo, co... |
