Just got my copy of this and I'm about half way through it. This is a really fantastic follow up to the 1999 vid. The big difference here though is the quality of the production and package. Really nicely done. Wonderful quality picture and sound. The collection of performers is really good too and ...

When I was growing up (graduated high school in 1980), there were some rock tunes that were simply hammered into our ears constantly and as I was moving from high school into college, I swore off most of the main offenders for life ... or so I thought. After shying away for many years though (from s...

Always loved this tune! Really nice version of it too. I do still miss the spooky Dawn Thomson vocal track from the original. Always made the hair on my arms stand up ;)

Some units have MIDI mapping capability that allow you to setup the unit to do something in response to an incoming program change and then also send another program change (of your choosing) out the THRU. Also, a quick check turned this up. http://www.midisolutions.com/prodepp.htm I didn't read eno...

If I'm reading this correctly, you're playing B-D-G then which would be a straight up V chord in the first inversion (when the 2nd note of the triad is root).

I think he was referring to the post I put up which suggested alternating fingers on the same note in the same position. He had mentioned using the same finger for repeated bass notes which I think will always have limited potential in the end.

One more thing ... If you're playing with a band, don't get hung up on the whole left hand bass side right hand melody side thing (note: I did that originally). Assuming you have other band members sharing the same sonic space as the melody side of the Stick, take the opportunity to use two hands on...

I would also suggest getting comfortable alternating fingers on the single note bass lines you already know. You're never likely to get a real smooth motor using the same finger. If you can alternate between two or three fingers to the point that the notes are smooth and even, then you can start exp...

Small and very portable SWR bass amp. These are no longer available. I used it as a little practice amp for a while but recently replaced it. The sound is nice and it is easily carried around the house. Roland digital reference monitors sound great most of the time but one of them buzzes when you pu...
