Cool technique. It's interesting, I am not as blown away by the overall composition as some here seem to be. To me it's a very simple melodic line. Which is nicely harmonized, but there is not a ton of development here, just a very cool polymetric pulloff technique which adds a unique texture. To me... |

Great stuff. Interesting use of backing tracks. I haven't thought of using these kind of tracks, especially with additional stick parts that are prerecorded. This may be a way for me to play live, some of my newer studio tracks that are arranged. You have me thinking (as you always do) Nice work Brett |

Ah good question No, If I write it I can remember it (mostly). Thanks for the kind words. As an update, things are coming along for me musically. Looking forward to a couple of new recordings in the next couple of years. For me regular practice produces less anxiety, and I'm in a good practice place... |

I've played Greg's bamboo I think you'll love it. To me the unfinished feel of the bamboo and the open grain of the Wenge have a similar feel.

I don't think you can go wrong with any of the pickups. Also i recommend classic tuning, it seems that a lot of instructors use it (it makes what Steve A is playing an exact match to your inst. I think Greg and Bob as well) Have you thought about a used grand? it seems you are ready to embark on the... |

Congrats Jay
It looks like a 5 bass 6 melody split? Is the bass in 4ths or 5ths?
