Ahh, 16-16-8th I do that a lot, actually Stole it from Billy Sheehan for my bass stuff! I do that a lot on Stick with the LH, when I'm jamming to Maiden, never tried to see how fast it went, though. Maybe I'll try a guitar lick on guitar, and see if I can get it as quick on Stick. lol It's the best ... |

Hey, no worries. No controversy, I just didn't agree with Eric's post is all, adults can disagree sometimes haha I hope I didn't come across as "I'm so awesome" because I know I'm not. I just know that there are some things that a guitarist with a pick and fingers can do easily that a Stic... |

I don't know that's accurate; there is a lot more to playing guitar than speed... Plus I know a LOT of guitar players who are faster than any Stick player will ever live to be if it's just plain fast notes you are talking about played in linear fashion. How are your repeated notes doing? A guitarist... |

Actually, this thread is kind of reassuring; I have spare strings for both of my Sticks but I am always wondering to myself hmmmmn when is one gonna go... These poor sticks really do take a lot of abuse!
Two years for me, no broken strings. Knock on wood now... |

The anodization really hardens the aluminum, you should be good. I bend and vibrato all the time, and no damage whatsoever... |

Yep, the "mute" technique; I love it... mix with speed and a bit of gain with some scaley runs and you have instant shred 'o' rama... Lots of fun! |

Thanks EVERYONE for all your replies - that certainly helps me. A question about the rail board - does anyone find it TOO thin? I have a bass that has a very thin neck and it's a bit hard on my left Thumb(neck). I realise that it's a very different hand position - but thought I would ask. Jayessker... |
