Beautiful! I'm wondering about those laminated bamboo necks - are they recommended for half fretless NS too? Or maybe it would be better to order a normal Grand or SG with one side fretless? It was the half fr-less NS that got me interested in the Stick but then I changed my mind and went with Grand...

I just hate the way switching fx can sound gimmicky or too drastic ya know. I want my fx switching to sound flowing and mor Yes, I'm all into morphing between sounds, even on held notes and chords. I try to achieve this by using expression pedals that continuously sweep between two alternative effe...

I have an earlier Presonius channelstrip model, the VXP. It sounds great but I can't say it gives me a "warmer sound" than I get by plugging the PASV4 directly into my RME Fireface400 audio interface, at instrument level (laptop rig stereo to PA stagebox). I have grown a huge fan to the PA...

I have the Russian tube top SOVTEK Mig-60 with two Marshall Lead Series cabinets. This amp typically duplicates the classic "plexi" sound. I use it for practicing with a clean sound in my living room with the PASV4 set to send both bass and melody side through the same output. My main rig ...

I'm currently trying to avoid compression until I get my basic technique down. How does everyone feel about compression? I look at compression as an instrument. Well, almost. Anyway, if you practice it you get better at making music with it. With the STick I love compression! I think it can give bo...

Yes, I had that issue with my 12 stringed Grand when using light strings. Switching to Medium strings solved my problems.

i've never had a tolorance for anything but a low action. Well, I've been playing some rather high guitar string action in the past, so I guess I have some relearning to do. (single coil guitar in funk music where you're supposed to deliver a snappy sound, to avoid fret buzz high action is the only...

Just remembered I forgot to tell one thing about the RME FF400, which is the box I use and know best: It can be used without the computer too but then you have to adjust settings by a knob on the front. This is a two-step process: (1) select the parameter to change, (2) set the new value. I never us...

Nice to see tapping on an acoustic guitar. I have tried that but just can't make it work. When comparing string action setup with my 12 str Grand I suspect you need to set up an acoustic guitar rather extremely in order to make it "tappable". Right?

Just chiming in with a related thought: Yesterday I had the idea to play Bach's Bourrée (Lute E minor) on my 5th/4th MR tuned grand. I found the score as PDF and recorded a couple of audio recordings of this piece to check it out in detail. It typically goes as two single-string melody lines (that i...
