Wow... Three years! I hope SE will be able to recruit someone in their team at mid-term to help them. But I think fret job on very old sticks could be handled by an experimented local luthier, as frets used at that time are common guitar frets (I don't have the timeline of improvements in mind, but ...

Hello guys, I'm looking for a small mixer for various purposes. Here are the specifications I need : - portable and affordable (+/-400€ is roughly the maximum) - 2 or 3 stereo inputs + 2 mic inputs minimum (for gigs, I need to mix my stick signals [stereo on both sides of the instrument] + a drum ma...

You could look for a camera tripod bag.

Thank you very much for this advice...I just ordered on Amazon this type of bag 125 cms long. My stick is 120 cms long. That will be perfect. And it's padded.

Let me know how it fits, as my gig bag is showing some fatigue traces as well.

I think my style reflects my 30 years journey as a music addict : - i like "contemporary" jazz as it is played by european musicians (well mainly). Think about ECM records. - i'm a huge metal music fan since i'm 14, so i guess 33 years of repeatitive listenings leave some traces. But i nev...

First eye-contact was through french Bass Magazine, featuring an article written by a then stick player, Thierry Bedoucha, and later showing tony Levin with this strange instrument. Had to call Youenn Landreau then to have a discuss about that. Then I managed to buy an ironwood from a guy in my area...

Sorry to hijack your searching message, but can someone upload on YT "Handiwork vol. one"? I have this VHS at home but can't watch it again because I've no device to put it on... I wonder why Greg didn't upload it. It's a stellar performance and with Water of The Moon, there were ones of m...

Oh, great, thanks. John Abercrombie is my fave jazz guitarist, I used to play several songs from him a few years ago. I didn't know that tune and never listened to that album (i'm particularly fan of his 80's and 90's works). Such a beautiful tone and phrasing.
Thanks for sharing!
