Charles, it's very nice to meet you! We have very much in common. I notice you're into fractal art. I can tell you're rocking some Mandelbulbs fractals on the 3d side, as well as the older-style 2D fractals Mandelbrot sets stuff. I've been making 3d fractal animation videos for about a year and a ha...

For some reason when I saw the thumbnail of the first stick, I thought "Harry Potter wand!" and thought "Awesome! How do you play one of those? 'Expelli-amous!'" Then I realized I was an idiot and that was a picture of a stick. And then a Stick. Want to hear a dirty joke? Q: What...

Good stuff, Olivier! Your sound seemed fine to me at least over TV/monitor speakers. I love your voice over all that you do Sticking wise. Stick already covers such a wise range--once you add vocals in, as you seem to do so easily, there's not much else but maybe some percussion that you could add--...

Great stuff, Bruce! Nice jam. You're still my favorite Stick string bender, although not so much bending in this tune. Nice energetic bass and loved the bluesy walkdown finish. Speaking of endings, that very beginning pop-off of the right hand was cool--nice way to start right into the bass line eac...

Apparently the opposite of "bright" is "mellow," although I'd say it sounds more like: "driving a piano through a mountain tunnel," which I've never found a use for yet. 8-)

I hear you but I have to say that for playing Electric Guitar in bands for over 30 years and even publishing a CD, I've never actually used my tone or volume controls other than making sure they're maxed out. It's not just guitars and Sticks, by the way: I have tone knobs on my keyboards and electr...

I HATE the sound of my stickups through a Y connector. So I am on the lookout for a 2 input solution. The easiest is to just get a cheap small mixer. There are a bunch out there for less than $100. There is an iRig Pro DUO but I haven't gotten to try it. It's $160 on Amazon John, I haven't gotten t...

I never touch my volume or tone controls. both are always pegged, on all my Sticks and guitars. I subscribe to the Eddie Van Halen school of "tone knob? WTF? i want ALL THE TONE!!!" but volume swells ARE fun to do (but I don't do them anymore. I'd use a pedal or a different effect). The Ra...

And thank you Steve S. for the input. I am certainly not married to any of those particular chords, ;though they were the first to come to a very tired mind. I will take your suggestion of combining them in some type of progression. Or don't do chords at all in the right hand but do a straight melo...

Mike, I've got the whole vid to load now, well done!, and a couple of things beyond just attaboys (but that too!): 1) The bass riff is gold. Pure, sweet funky-ass gold. Nothing to see or do more here but rock that OUT! You owe it to the universe to explore that bassline--that's how I see it when a r...
