This one is for Jolyon; I thought maybe a quick reference video of the great riff made famous by the magnificent "Deep Purple" might help him out a bit; I just slammed the main riff together so he could get some ideas, one noob to another... Steve Adelson was happy to help me out with this... |

You know, I changed my Railboard tuning to Classic tuning from MR, and I encountered a wee bit of buzzing also, the cure was implemented in two steps;
1) Slight truss rod adjustment
2) Remove the "Smartie" my daughter inserted under a string... |

You bet. Not Sticks, but you could do two staves of say, 5 str bass and 5str banjo, whatever tuning you like and then save as a template, or a 6 str guitar and 6str bass which is what I have now, and of course, I set it up for every tuning I used along the way. Heh I love my Railboard, but man oh man do I ever really love my 12 str... Hey Scott, I'm still burning with desire to follow your steps on that one. If only I could convince my wife to let me spend the money.... Nevertheless, the railboard is perfect! I never really felt I needed the extra strings... |
