I should have been more precise. I was suggesting a bass/bass approach, like I use on the NS, starting at low B and with the hands well apart. TL (usually) uses only half of his strings, and plays frequently with both hands on the same group of 2 or 3 strings, rapid-fire. With my setup you can do t... |

As you are a TL fan and a pianist you might also be a candidate for an NS Stick in mirrored fourths.... If you are interested in playing piano pieces on a Grand, you might check out my posts at Tappistry.org > Playing > Report:The Pseudo-Keyboard Approach. Hi Randolf, My first Stick was #695, so I can imagine your instrument pretty clearly. The bass strings are the same for MR, and you could probably use the fixed bridge for the MR melody strings and have good intonation, as they're only slightly thicker. Most of the changes you have mentioned are pre... |

well, yes my 2 sticks both have emg melody but i still need something to plug into. i guess i could go direct into my boss vf 1. I however still see the use of proper eqing with active pups. thats why bass pres have active and passive inputs. I also plan on getting other sticks which are all passiv... |

all suggestions are appreciated. and I have not ruled out getting a stepabout to warm up the rane tone although that would make me sell my upright, especially when the cost of repairing the sp or buying a new one is added in. thanks Brett Hi Brett, Don't you have a hybrid EMG/Stickup? if that's the... |

I think I've had every case Emmett's ever sold at some point. I like the anvil-style cases, but I really like the injection molded flight cases: http://www.stick.com/accessories/cases/hardcase.jpg They are lighter, provide just as much protection and the softer corners are less worrisome when travel... |

Hey Greg, It was a long process, being recorded from December 07-October-08. I didn't get the StepAbout till later in the game, so sadly I couldn't use it on more stuff. I do remember very fondly though my session with Electrio (my 3 piece band featured on tracks 9,15 and a internet download), and ... |

Hi embryo, The original strings for that instrument would probably have been an .008 and .009 for 1 and 2. Your intonation problems could be the result of several things including: any bowing of the fretboard, the bridge screws being set too high, and even your playing technique. It would help to se... |

The best digital delay pedal I've ever played through is the TimeFactor. It's just very musical. But admittedly, I haven't tried many others lately. |
