What kind of music do I want to play.[/b] There are only a couple of players I know of who do all these things, and Bob and Cides come to mind first. They both use the inverted 5ths bass/melody 4ths. I have been reading this thread with great interest. I have been wondering if a change in tuning to... |

Now please don't laugh. I have just got hold off my first Stick - an SB8. I've been playing bass for 30 years (has it really been that long!!!). I went for the SB8 as I thought I would use it more for bass sounds within my rock band. The problem I have (and this is why I said don't laugh) is tuning... |

Hi Greg, Thanks for all the video links. I have to confess that I'm feeling somewhat humbled and awestruck by all the talent out there, and I feel like a little minnow up against the big fish. Anyway apologies for the misunderstanding with the photo - I was confused because I couldn't find a pictur... |

I believe if we're talking uncrossed technique we should judge by the players who can be called accomplished players. here are some examples: I'd love to see someone playing "un-crossed" on the 1st string with their left hand who doesn't have to bend their fingers to do it. I'll be waitin... |

OK, I know I said I'd shut-up, but I just can't resist making a few comments on these videos! ... 2. The standard is pretty poor - is it that all uncrossed/non-stick players are newbies?! Good grief even I can play better than some of these guys - maybe my video will be coming sooner than I thought... |
