I decided to take my summer off, and I have been practicing about 10-16 hours a day every day. Things are improving quite quickly... [...] So much to do, so little time. This is pretty impressive - olympic athletes train this way. What is your goal / purpose? No other way to do it ;) My father as a... |

Rob, I had prostate cancer at 38 (my grandfather died from it and I had a new doctor who gave me a PSA test. It's actually a long and gruesome story and probably Too Much Information, but I celebrated my 8th year cancer and prostate free last and every Cinco de Mayo.) I'm 46 and I've finally almost ... |

Actually the construction of the stick itself, being a keyless instrument, with an infinite progression of strings in 4ths makes it all much simpler than that. You can simply fly over any mode starting wherever you happen to be if you realize that, for example, in all modes for a major scale, the g... |

I like the piece, by the way. Very much an 80's vibe, but as I'm pretty obsessed with drums right now I noticed them particularly. Which program are you using, again? It's always interesting to hear your playing, as your Stick playing seems very much to be a slave to your piano sensibilities, and I... |

Steve, this has nothing to do with anything at all, but here's a piece from one of the bands I have really obsessed on for years now. They have a really incredible balance of insane complexity and minimalism, a blend of 80's goth, post-rock and heavy European prog. Their stuff unfolds over the cour... |
