A guitar string should be long enough. .008 or .009 You prabably do have some kind of burr in your bridge screw. you can get some sandpaper down there and smooth it out. Maybe that would help. Can you send me a photo of your bridge at that position? Happy to help if I can, Greg - Yes, I ordered the ...

Hi Matt, I like to use a loose belt as Rob mentioned, because it has some "give" as opposed to a lap bar, which some players really like to use (like Bob Culbertson). Here's a photo from my book that shows how loose the belt is, it's important that the belthook rests on the chair, not on y...

Somehow in all this I missed this http://www.learn-chapman-stick.com  Seems like out & out fraud, It looks exactly like Emmett's site. It took me a moment to realize it wasn't. Previously, I sorta felt sorry for Traktor. I thought he was mostly just tacky. And, I was honestly interested i...

For starters, someone should start a forum that isn't tied to any company by name or marketing agenda (touchstyle) for all tapping instruments. I think it would be very popular, and I think hundreds of Stick players would finally be able to engage with other tapping musicians on a neutral forum run...

Just got through with my first lesson from Greg via Skype. It is an invaluable resource to have a one on one lesson with a professional. I am just starting out on the Stick (In my second month) and this was just the jumpstart I needed. I would reccomend his lessons to anyone out there. This was my ...

And I wonder if Megatar's tactics actually damage the tapping community, or even SE's hard-won prestige. Here is an entry-level instrument pitched at 15-year-olds, who would have to wait to get the better instrument; after awhile it is sold to someone of even lesser means, while the original owner ...

Hi Jeff, Thanks for replying to Emmett's post. It's always good to get different perspectives. Regarding what Topaz has to say about his negative ads boosting sales, it's hard to give someone the benefit of the doubt when there's so much to doubt. Emmett has never objected to fair competition, he's ...

I'm curious. Do any of you perform live in stereo? If you do, do you monitor from your front, or rear? Is the melody side on your right, or left? Is the melody on house (audience) left, or right? Just curious Jeff Hi Jeff, I usually run stereo, but not in the sense of bass and melody panned to sepa...
