Hi Stick family, I'm very happy and excited to make a special announcement about another kind of stick... I've signed on as an endorser with the Rich Stick drumstick company! Owners Josh Mimms and William Fitzpatrick make a GREAT stick, as well as some very cool accessories, and they can custom-tail... |

Hi all, A year ago, one of my cousins bought a 1980's Ironwood Stick from SE, refurbished by Emmett. He told me very recently that he just cannot find the time to work with it, and as much as I tried to talk him out of it, he's going to try to sell it. I'll try to get some pics out of him, but basic... |

...I create a track in Logic on the Stick. Videotape myself playing it for the disbelievers lol. THEN let's say I want to play a guitar solo over a section... is there any way to just "play" the backtrack in iTunes or QuickTime while you hit record and track yourself both video and audio ... |

One thing I didn't see discussed was the medium gauge for the strings. When I ordered my Railboard, I originally thought to order light strings, as I was used to them on the old Ironwood that I had. But Emmett talked me out of that; with medium strings, the instrument seems to sing a little better, ... |

That was fun! To be an external witness after the fact to an event with such spontaneity and creativity, without the benefit of the energy and emotional connection you get from being there, is almost voyeuristic. But ten-dollar words aside, I'm glad you documented this. Keep on keepin' on, brother. |

That was pretty, and I think it works really well at that tempo. It sounded really good even through my laptop's speakers. Kudos, Bruce! |

Whatever you do, if you're going to make adjustments to the bridge and nut screws and the intonation (which you will HAVE to do if you change string gauges, tuning, or string position), make very careful and detailed notes of all the changes you make, so that you can return to original settings and ... |

Yep, web site has been announced for everyone to see. Some changes: I realized that there really wasn't anything on the page that told people what it is exactly that I do, so I added some wording indicating that info on my "About" page, and re-organized some of the content on it. It also h... |

First, I want to thank everyone who beta-tested my new web site! (Jay & Randy, thanks for the constructive points! Thanks for catching "bock" ... made it look like the Railboard was made by chickens.) I bit the bullet and bought a domain so the web address would be a lot more obvious a... |
