It's a real nice song Tatsu...I completly agree with you. It's a shame I can't read well your photos (paper)...too small for me. I read about your analysis and some aspects of it are not easy to understand...I know what you were facing in your analyse. I tried myself and sometimes the best solution ... |

My favourite method for composing is simple; I shut up and listen. No instruments at hand, just listening to silence. Most of the times the music that then starts pouring into your mind is a good starting point. The challenge is to translate this "music inside the head" to arranging, choi... |

What a nice gift that would be for your son...wow...to start at 14...even though that would be few hours at the beginning. You would stimulate his interest a lot... |

The title could almost say "Good By Pork Pie Hat" 8-). I like how it weaves in and out of theme... `J` We are in the blues family here...lol. Maybe it's the ad lib style who gives that feeling because I was not thinking about Goodbye Pork Pie Hat...lol. For me it's a blues with "extr... |

Thank you for your comments...I really like what I read... You're right Steve talking about plagal cadence...IV to I...right...to play a substitution of IV we can also play IIm7 to I which is even weaker but it's nice. Many songs end on the I chord but it's amazing the musical effect of a tango whic... |

You favor the harmony element and your music shows it. Here's one that I wish would never end. I call it the "eternal mode". Ending on the VI chord, the drummer loses the meter and solos on the pulse. It goes on and on - rock and roll ecstasy. Thank you Emmett, I really like to explore so... |

I hope I'm in the right section to talk about that. I wanted to express myself about how to use a cadence. We are talking theory of course here. I don't know about you but I'm a bit tired of always using a perfect cadence in "normal" music. What I mean is using a V7 going to Imaj is so per... |

Great tones Alain, a nice exploration in sound. Recommended with headphones! :D You wrote it before I did...yeap...better with headphones. I live in a building with about 50 appartments and I always rehearse, work, etc. with headphones. I want to keep good relations with my neigbours...lol. Thanks ... |
