Before attending my Stick studies last year I had been playing wind instruments and guitar. Recently a lot of fretless guitar and it was actually the love for the fretless micro tonality that made me look closer at the Stick NS half fretless. But at second thought I changed my mind and went with Gra...

Well spoken, Matt! I love true musicality when I hear it and the Heartstrings stuff definitely rocks if you ask me. Distinct but intricate melodies, lovely! But I also love to play my Stick with cello bow and draculian distortion through my laptop. Isn't it wonderful that there are so many different...

He, he... I love that "dracula in an ancient castle" concept! Myself I just want to play more Stick in 2k11. Got my first grand 12 last year but was struck by cancer and lost four months playing time after a cyber suregeon cured me with some devine cuts. Now when I'm healed I have an SG-12...

What did you do to work around the problem and how long did it take before you got it solved? When I recently started playing the Stick I took care to listen first hand to my body (as in yoga, "hara", tai chi etc) and second hand to the noise I produced. I had no issues from extensive pra...

If I could afford it I would like a GK-3 on my SG-12's bass side. I've been playing MIDI guitar for ages and know about the latency when converting low notes to MIDI, but this is not an issue for me because I'd like to use the MIDI from the Stick's bass side to feed an arpeggiator and then timing is...

Yeah, I like his intonation with the whammy bar! The music could be a bit more varied though, just my personal taste.

Not much fretboard tapping there, but man what a great sounding instrument! Like a guitar with two harps added below and above the guitar's note range. Reminds me of Pat Metheny concerts I've seen where Lyle Mays extended the grand piano with a couple of extra zithers.

When you guys talk about the fourth finger , I guess you mean the pinky? I'd rather see the pinky as the fifth finger because many players use the right hand's thumb now and then for notes on the bass side. So shouldn't the thumb be noted as the first finger ? Since I tightened my strap and got the ...

Light or dark bamboo dyed black? I guess there's a subtle difference. BTW, I'm in for a sunset dyed light bamboo SG-12.

If you're using light - try the new mediums.
I to had this experience of improved string sound when moving from light to medium. Yesterday I tightened the truss rod a bit and got an even better sound after that.
