Wow! Leaps and bounds of improvements on this one! Yay for practice and leveling up! Nope, I haven't really gotten too much better I still suck about the same :D ; I just figured out how to leverage other existing skills. I do practice a lot, (always have) heh guilty as charged. I love the Chapman ...

Another great Greg cover! Wow! What an awesome reign of terror! Are you playing all of these in 4th tunings? Which I believe you are, which makes it awesome that the tuning doesn't get in the way of the song. I'm not trying to start a (-nother) tuning war. I just thought that it was interesting tha...

Another Greg Howard tune for ya... Yes, far from perfect, and also yes it probably needs a solo in there but after doing 4 of his tunes today my puny little mind is basically annihilated... And also yes, I am 'sort of' aware that the left hand stuff has been substituted for, like some rock and roll ...

I thought I'd make this Greg Howard day today. I have the day off, and while I SHOULD be hammering down on some Bach or something I thought I'd try something different... Well, for me anyways. Scott's Musical Reign Of Terror (Wednesday version) continues... I had lots of fun with this one, a bit har...

My point is this; having the ability to assimilate music quickly (by whatever means necessary) is a huge advantage. Being able to do this frees up a lot of time to work on other equally important things... (Elephant devoured) https://soundcloud.com/jayesskerr/stick-del-mar https://soundcloud.com/jay...

:D I did this one last year, but I thought I'd revisit it this morning. There are things to be worked on for sure, but hey there's a couple of things I did that are my own... Take a listen, lemme know what you think... Again, I spent a bit more time on this, so I am thinking it is a bit tighter... h...

I put this together this morning, along with another tune... Yeah - It's not perfect. But I did it pretty quickly because I wanted to do another one... Hopefully Greg isn't too offended. I spent almost double the time on this one, maybe that doubles it's quality? :D Anyways, I took some liberties wi...

Wow. I always thought their gear was a cut above average at a very reasonable price. Especially their electric guitars and basses which were outstanding. Somewhere out in my recording studio hangs a Bunny Brunel 5 string bass and it's hard to beat. Sign of the times I guess. Too bad. The guitar div...

Scott, read my first comment on page 3, I go into what vertical vs horizontal knowledge are. I'm not the guy to come up with this stuff, its a concept that's been floating around for a bit. I think it applies well to structuring the learning process and helping one improve consistently. Sorry, man....
