Very good video! This is actually a peeve of mine. So few people even think about working on their timing and the end result is that ... dare I say ... most players have poor to mediocre timing. This really sticks out when someone attempts to play as a solo. To me, it's something so incredibly fixab...

Of course, one of the other things an altered tuning on a guitar does is to push your brain into other directions it might not go on its own. So in that regard, its probably worth experimenting. That said, I use several different guitar tunings on a regular basis but have never tried altering the tu...

I am a master sloucher. Of the instruments I like to play, it's the acoustic piano that is most likely to make my back hurt simply because ... as I said ... I am a master sloucher. Guitar on a strap is slightly better but still not a picnic. Acoustic guitar is much better for me just because I alway...

This is the perfect kind of gig to start getting your feet wet with honestly. You're not really background music but at the same time, you're not the focus either. So you have room to see what works for you and what doesn't. I've always really enjoyed these kinds of gigs.

Actually now that I think about it ... I can't remember if the steel wool is #000 or #0000 grade. Let me double check when I get home in a couple of hours and I'll post back. Wouldn't want anyone to scratch up an instrument because of me :o

I just use straight up lemon oil. Way cheaper. For the same price you can get a good sized bottle that will likely last you many years. I'm still on a bottle I bought 15 years ago and it's nowhere near running out. I guarantee the only thing you're paying extra for with the PRS oil is that is says &...

That's Akin Unver from Turkey. Another excellent musician. He is a studied classical guitarist and multi-instrumentalist. We had the pleasure of hanging with Akin a bit while he was doing graduate work at the University of Michigan. He composed the tune below for piano and cello. If memory serves, h...

Japhlet is a fine musician and that is simply one of the best things I've seen/heard in a while. A gorgeous piece executed flawlessly.
