I use this technique somewhat often when adding a bass line to a loop. Specifically a bass line that I want to sound more like a traditional bass. Very easy to switch in and out of and the timbre is definitely different.

Bob will be playing the Ann Arbor Art Fair Thursday through Sunday. If memory serves me correctly, he's usually on North University somewhere around Fletcher St ... I think.

The hours are Thursday-Saturday from 10am to 9pm.
Sunday is from noon to 6pm.
