Yeah ... I read the story and am speechless. Very glad you came out of that in one piece. You kept a cool head man!

Honestly I'm not sure tunings make a huge difference (not counting bass oriented tunings of course). I play 12-string Classic. I briefly toyed with Matched Reciprocal quite a while back but just never warmed up to it. I think it's all what you're used to though so if you're just starting out, the re...

Just to follow up ... I grabbed an old Boss expression pedal and ran it through the calibration process. While perusing the manual page on how to do that, I noted a section where they specifically say that a standard passive volume pedal will NOT work.

So there's that :-)

I have, in fact, NOT done the calibration so I'll give that a whirl later today. Historically most hardware that expects expression pedal input will work with a standard passive volume pedal using an insert cable. The Rocktron guys actually recommend it and their units generally work better with a v...

The way I use the Rocktron for my Stick rig is such that the bank up/down buttons actually increment patches one at a time. All the rest of the buttons are setup to send CC or NOTE messages. I need several buttons available to control loops. So the only way this unit will work for me is if I can pro...

Hi all, I know this particular piece of gear has come up in conversation already but I picked up my very first SoftStep over the weekend. I haven't had enough time to really dive deep yet but just wanted to share some initial thoughts. I've dabbled with most of the more popular MIDI foot controllers...

Hi all,

I completely forgot about this until a recent studio cleanup operation. So I actually still have this and it is still virtually unused. Still hoping to get $500 but will consider offers.

Now I'm just looking to free up some much needed physical space :)

I've tried to go full computer/digital setup for live gigs 3-4 times now and every time I've ended up going back. I can't put my finger on what bothered me about it. But I was always convinced that everything was great until I plugged back into my old rig after a while and it felt like ... well ... ...

Very good video! This is actually a peeve of mine. So few people even think about working on their timing and the end result is that ... dare I say ... most players have poor to mediocre timing. This really sticks out when someone attempts to play as a solo. To me, it's something so incredibly fixab...
