I tried a Railboard and was impressed by the sound and engineering. To be completely honest, it didn't feel very nice to hold and play. I'm sure I'd get used to it, but wood all the way for me. And yes, I'm still a Stickup tragic! Cheers, Andy I've owned a rosewood Stick with a Stickup, a Polycarb ...

Thanks for all your replies: I'm going to have to look into all of these ideas soon. Does anyone know if there is some sort of adapter I can get that can solve this issue with a single 1/4" cable? I'm moving into a small apartment and I will need to play through headphones. I was hoping I coul...

If you relate this difference to bass guitars, on a neck through bass guitar the body wood doesn't make a huge impact on tone however on a bolt on neck bass the b...

Personally i think the 4ths "8 string bass" tuning is the best on an NS Stick. I'd leave inverted 5th bass string "Stick" tunings to a traditional Stick. My own opinion of course but i don't think 8 strings are enough to really be able to take advantage of other Stick tunings. Ev...

1st welcome to the forum and (when you get it) the wonderful world of Stick instruments. I use to own an NS Stick (I kick myself for selling it) and can tell you it's a great instrument that can be played many different ways. With the synth pickup and Roland guitar synth you'll really be able to do ...
