I don't like new strings.....mine are about a year old, and they have this really nice "rubbery" warm sound. In fact I would say they sound "woody" and organic. I never have been one who likes that shimmery, bright tone that some Stickists seem to be drawn too... Infact, my wife ...

I think any of Keith McMillan's gear is going to be good. My Stick rig is 2 QSC K-12's, and the Touch Mix.... The Touch mix is a fine mixer... I think Olivier , a great Stick and vocalist uses one if I'm not mistaken.... Great Mic pre's. effects and ease of use.

You can also get Stickology ebook and video download from Mel Bay... That book is also a must have IMHO
